NL crop ’09 lily bulbs, exported to Japan until Jun 2010 decreased 16% ?! (August 18th,2010)

Thank you for your usual cooperation.

Recently, P.F.Onings kindly sent us NL PT-figures of exported lily bulbs.

According to it, NL crop ’09 exported to Japan from Nov.2009 till Jun 2010 decreased 16% than crop ’08, we are so surprised !!

On the other hand, NL crop ’09 lily bulbs were imported to Japan from Dec.2009 till July 2010 decreased 2% by Japanese PQ figure, we found big difference between NL and Japanese statistics.

We suppose that it was caused by slower speed of the boat, it takes much more days to reach Japan than before, that’s why, even if they left NL by Jun, they could not arrive in Japan by July.

By the way, China increased 71%, quite a lot !! We believe our country will import more than China in this year finally. But we are surprised with Chinese power.

We are informed big shortages of SH bulbs in this year too, we really hope we will be able to supply necessary number of lily flowers stably to the market from coming autumn to spring. Shall we do our best effort !!

With best regards,
