Much interested in Kochi’s Lily exhibited at Horti Fair in Amsterdam -Japan Agricultural Newspaper- (2009/10/22)

Visitors are much interested in lilies come from Kochi Japan at Horti Fair from Oct. 13 to 16 in Amsterdam Holland, one of the biggest flower exhibition in the world.

Kochi is major production area of lily flowers in Japan, flower growers use many Dutch bulbs.
They are going to make friendly relationship between Westland city and Kochi prefecture in coming November. So, in order to strengthen the friendship by lily, they
succeeded in showing Kochi’s Oriental lilies by the help of P.F.Onings in Westland city.

These lilies, Siberia,Sorbonne and Universe, were grown by Mr.Norio Yamanaka who lives in Ohkawa village in Kochi prefecture.
Mr.Andre Rutte, manager of P.F.Onings says “ Leaves are green enough, stems are steady, and flowers’ quality are very good”

P.F.Onings put some information board with the flowers, as follows,
“ These flowers are grown from Dutch grown lily bulbs exported by Onings Holland,
grown by the Kochi flower grower and now returned home to Holland !”
