　①.Import figure of SH crop 08
１．1. Under mentioned is Statistic of import inspection by Plant Protection Station (Prompt report).

* Last week of Nov and December is expectation, which include schedule (result) of our company.

　・Chile increase, NZ decrease.
　・There is no relation between earlier import and planting schedule of forcers.

２．Total quantity of CH and NZ is 97% (minus 3%).
３．Number of LA is included since SH crop 07, and increased 2 million in crop 08.

How oriental quantity changed ?

We asked quantity of LA to exporters who dealt it, and tallied as under-mentioned.

This is rather shocking result, but it’s one of proof which people in flower industry expect Lilly flower (Oriental) in winter will decrease a lot.

②．Delivery of bulbs
Under-mentioned graphic is monthly quantity of delivery SH crop 07/08 (OR, LA).

Quantity of Oct, Nov this year (most to west part of Japan, and will be cutting flower Jan-Mar) is 75% of last year (minus 25%).
We hear decrease of east part of Japan is more extreme, and the number is telling that forcers avoid mid-winter forcing, by concerning high heating cost.
(Recently retail oil price has been decreasing, so who planted many so far is right decision.)

On the other hand, delivery of Dutch crop 07 in this period increased 30%, although quantity is less (and not recommended way). This explain forcers took advantage of speed of lily growth and devised to continuous flower production.
It’s only our company’s data, so maybe little different from tendency of whole Japan, but we seriously expect cut flower of Oriental in mid winter is going to decrease approx 20%.

In last few years, Planting SH bulbs in January and February has increased and became common method.
It’s influence of late maturing, harvest and break dormancy of Dutch crop by global warming, and also (if planting was same time) growth of SH bulb is faster and can be cut on schedule in earlier April, May, which flower price is stable.
