Presidential Greeting in 2014(January 6,2014)

NAKAMURA-NOEN CO.,LTD
Hiroshi Nakamura

A happy new year 2014!!!

In 1955 the founder of Nakamura-Noen; Mr.Toshimichi Nakamura started handling bulbs on a small scale while growing flowers. He wanted to supply good bulbs and to be close and useful bulb supplier to flower growers. In 1990, we established a corporation for further challenges with his starting spirit. Eventually, we will be at an anniversary of 60th year’s(※) business and 25th year’s corporation next year.

Fortunately, lily has become a major item in Japanese flower market, and our company handles lily bulbs as representative firm in Japan. It is thanks to your continuous support and cooperation until today and we deeply appreciate you.

All of our try, for example the first import of PQ free NL lily bulbs, introduction of pre-rooting system to Japanese forcers, SH bulbs, own test green house, Lily Festa, high function cold-warm storage and so on, were put into shape by customers’ requests or hints. We will keep listening to customers’ voice and thinking with customers’ point of view now and later.

Furthermore, we are trying to change our role and idea. “Bulb supplier +α”, it means that, we will import good quality bulbs first, and then add something to make them better, keep them in the best condition to maintain their utmost ability, study more and improve how to grow flowers, to develop attractive varieties, etc. We will work more technically like a “manufacturer”.

And also, through our activities we would like to stimulate the flower market, to train flower growers’ successors, and to contribute to international exchange.

The average age of our staff is 34, and we haven’t had enough experience yet, so we are still on the way to grow. We hope to be successful together with customers from now on.

Now, Japanese agriculture and flower industry face hard reality and at a big turning point. We would like to think about that positively and to improve, then will aim for “Hopeful Society with more Flowers and more Smile”.

We do hope you will give us further help and encouragement.

※60 years old is very happy and important anniversary for Japanese life. As we reach just same sexagenary cycle year as when we were born, once in 60 years.
